I read an interesting post today, comparing ISCABBS favorably to Livejournal:

ISCABBS averages 6,000 posts per day. For reference, we're about one sixtieth of the post volume of LiveJournal, which is considered to be a pretty damn big site (based on posts).
LiveJournal users make an average of one post every five days; ISCABBS users make an average of more than one post a day. While we're nowhere as big as we used to be, I'd still say that we're a healthy community.
