A Guided Tour of ISCABBS

ISCABBS is an Internet accessible community that has provided discussion forums, instant messaging, and Mail since 1989. I sometimes like to think of it as a party that has been going non-stop for 17 years. This article will show you how to access ISCABBS, and give you a inside view into this amazing retro-computing experience. Some people reading this article may not remember 1989. It was the era of the command line. The Internet existed, but the World Wide Web had not been invented yet. I told you ISCABBS was retro! So to access ISCABBS, the first thing you need to do is open up a terminal window. For those of you on Windows, this is called the Command Prompt, and you can open one up by selecting it under Start | All Programs | Accessories | Command Prompt. ...the effect of having alternative means of accessing ISCABBS, that is. My spouse, who does not have an account on ISCA, now relies on the Late Breaking News> forum for news, and also is a lurker in Bible and Christianity>. Since Mozilla Thunderbird has RSS support, it is a very convenient way to keep up with current events without having to leave one's inbox.

This Blog is Butt Ugly

If anyone can suggest a better template, please do. I'm looking for something minimalist, readable, and pleasing to the eye that doesn't have a lot of wasted white space in it.
